We are proud to announce Kevinn Harris and Sucheta Kadaba as the new co-chairs of the Health & Equity Committee. Our focus remains steadfast on leveraging AI and blockchain technologies to enhance healthcare outcomes and increase accessibility for marginalized and underserved communities. AI LA Responsible AI Symposium – 6/20 (Playa Vista)

​Set for June 20th, AI LA’s 7th Annual Responsible AI Symposium will navigate the ethical frontiers of artificial intelligence amid a pivotal US election year.

The symposium is a call to action, aiming to define key principles and goals for the responsible development and deployment of AI. It is a collaborative platform for imperative conversations on democracy, and the need to confront misinformation, fortify the voting processes, and ensure election integrity.

The event will feature:
- A keynote speech by Safiya Noble, Ph.D., author of "Algorithms of Oppression".
- A virtual address by Congressman Ted Lieu from California's 36th District.
- Two in-depth panels discussing Responsible AI Development and AI’s Role in Elections.

Join the LA Responsible AI Reading Group!

Are you passionate about artificial intelligence and its impact on society?

Come and explore the rapidly evolving field of Responsible AI with other fellow AI LA community members in the Los Angeles area. The reading group aims to keep members informed of the latest research papers, in-depth articles, and significant news items surrounding the ethical development and deployment of AI technologies.

What We Do:
The group offers a forum for regular thought-provoking discussions, both IRL and virtually, along with real-time dialogue on Discord. We provide regular email updates to keep all members informed and engaged. Members collectively explore AI ethics to foster an understanding supporting responsible AI technology practices.

Who Should Join:
The reading group is open to anyone interested in the ethical aspects of AI, including academics, industry professionals, students, and anyone curious about the technology’s broader implications.
