Life Summit returns on November 14 with an expanded program and an intimate founder and investor dinner with Rho the night before. We’re also introducing a hands-on leadership workshop with Amy Blackman, sharing a member discount for LA TechConnect, and looking ahead to our aerospace meetup with Wells Fargo. First up: join us tonight at Highland Park Brewery for our monthly AI Policy Meetup. Read on for details and registration links.
Life Summit 2026
New voices and events on the program. More ways to Connect.
AI’s role in healthcare is taking shape in everyday decisions: how clinicians spend their time, how patients find support, and what care teams need to put new tools into practice.
On November 14, AI LA’s annual Life Summit returns with Health by Design: AI and the Future of Care. Join clinicians, researchers, founders, investors, and technology leaders to explore these questions—and meet the people working through them.
We’re sharing the latest program additions below, along with opportunities to partner with us and a small gathering for founders and investors the evening before the summit.
On the Program
Morning yoga and breathwork with Sheryl Chen
Keynote with Thomas C. Kingsley, MD, MPH, MS, Director of Applied Artificial Intelligence at UCLA and Co-Director of the INOVAi Center, with the conversation moderated by Martha Lawrence.
Fireside chat with David Feinberg, MD, Chairman of Oracle Health, on how AI and connected health data could give caregivers more time with patients and make care more accessible, personal, and effective. Moderated by Stephanie Sharron of Morrison & Foerster.
Assessing Generative AI for Mental Healthcare, with Polina Durneva, Assistant Professor at LMU, exploring the evidence needed before putting patient-facing AI into practice.
Beyond the Model: The Human Work that Makes AI Work, a discussion of healthcare careers and skills featuring:
Eric Lee, VP, Chief Health Information Officer, AltaMed Health Services
Kris Hsu, Product Manager, Immersive
Moderated by AI LA Ambassador Lauren Mansfield
The day will also include a founders and investors conversation, networking, and a closing reception, with more programming to be announced soon.

Before the Summit, Grab A Seat at the Table
An exclusive dinner with Rho
We’re partnering with Rho to bring together a select group of venture-backed founders and investors for an intimate, invite-only dinner the night before AI LA’s Life Summit. This is an opportunity to connect with some of the most promising founders and investors in the ecosystem, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships beyond the conference floor. We're opening a limited number of seats through a short application process for Venture-backed founders in AI, healthcare, and health tech.
New Interactive Leadership Workshop
AI and the Human Advantage

We’re thrilled to welcome Amy Blackman, Principal and Founder of Fruition Co., for an interactive workshop on leading through AI-driven change. Explore five essential capabilities—attention, agency, abstraction, augmentation, and alignment—to sharpen judgment, make clearer decisions, and bring teams together around a shared direction.
Through practical exercises and discussion, you’ll assess your organization’s readiness and leave with a focused 90-day action plan.
Discount Code for LA TechConnect

Our friends at the Product Managers Association of Los Angeles are organizing their 3rd annual LA TechConnect executive summit. It's a curated one-day conference for Directors, VPs, Heads and C-Level Leaders in Los Angeles and Orange County. Speakers from NVIDIA, Carvana, Plug, Allstacks, plus a working session with a Claude Ambassador will cover how organizations have evolved their AI implementation, compare approaches, and share what those choices mean for your teams.
The theme for 2026 is "Evolved." AI agents and new operating models available in 2026 have resulted in evolved strategies and practices especially compared to what we were doing in 2024 and 2025. Our Executive Director, Heather Sit, will also moderate the panel Beyond Product: How Organizations Are Evolving with AI, joining some of the leading minds in tech to share how they have adapted their organizations and workflows, and provide practical examples and suggestions to help us all move forward.
