Last week's AI LA Salon was Los Angeles’ first-ever official n8n meetup, bringing together automation practitioners and developers for a straightforward look at building workflows with n8n.

Alex Kim demonstrated an end-to-end pipeline using Veo3 to generate AI videos entirely inside n8n, illustrating how a few well-configured nodes can replace manual steps. Throughout the session, Dylan Watkins shared practical guidance and answered implementation questions from attendees.

An open Q&A followed, covering topics such as node best practices, the future of AI workflows, and all of the possible use cases for the platform. Conversations carried on over food, drinks, and a modest stash of swag.

Trump’s AI Action Plan | Virtual Townhall Meeting Recap

Thursday's AI LA Town Hall brought together over 70 attendees to examine President Trump's AI Action Plan and its implications for regulation and innovation. The discussion centered on the administration's shift toward "ideological neutrality," federal compute credits for startups, and regulatory sandboxes for faster AI deployment. Panelists explored the tension between fostering competition against China while maintaining safety standards, with particular concern about enforcement mechanisms and the effectiveness of self-regulation.
