AI LA Paid Membership Survey
This year, we hosted over 100 events (double the number from last year), and we’d like your feedback to provide even more value to you in 2025.
AI LA is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing AI literacy, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in Los Angeles and beyond since 2016. As we explore the potential of an annual paid membership, we want to ensure it meets your needs and aspirations. Everyone will still have access to our regular events, but there will be a non-member and member price and plenty of free events!
Your feedback is crucial in helping us design a membership program that brings the most value to our community. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

On Friday, October 18 as #LATechWeek was winding down, Angelenos made their way through Friday evening traffic to catch the sunset at AI LA’s Cerebral Beach HQ in Playa Del Rey and to attend the Responsible AI Reading Group’s “Responsible AI - Made in LA” event.
The evening featured a diverse lineup of leading Responsible AI voices from the government, academia, nonprofit, and private sectors including Jen Garcia, CEO Employ California; Amy Tong, the Secretary of Government Operations for the State of California; Dr. Sarah Roberts, Professor at UCLA in Information Studies, Labor Studies, and Gender Studies; and Kareem Saleh, Founder and CEO of FairPlay AI.
The discussion was kicked off by the moderator, Paul-Marie Carfantan, Founder and Head of the Responsible AI Reading Group at AI LA, sharing some statistics on the rapid increase of AI adoption, almost doubling from this same time last year, “What kind of risk exists and why do we need responsible AI? What risk is responsible AI addressing?”
